Anyone visiting Vizsoly can have a look at the first edition of the Hungarian Bible printed in Vizsoly in 1590 as well as the protected frescos in the Church from the Árpád-era, which is a cultural heritage site.
Today, you can find many more sights in the church yard.
It was expanded with the Bibliás Könyvesház (Bible Book House) in 2013, the boarded ceiling of which was painted by Gaál János, a Folk Art’s Master Award winning restorer. This is the welcoming building of the Vizsolyi Bible Visitor Centre (Reformed Betlehem), where you can purchase the tickets to enter, buy souvenirs, religious books, coffee, refreshments, sweets.
The Mantskovit Bálint Museum of the History of Printing was opened in September 2015 and has intriguing exhibits in 4 rooms. This museum belongs to the Visitor Centre so you do not need any extra tickets to visit this museum. Your ticket is valid here, too.
