There is a magical place in the mountains and valleys in the heart of the Zemplén Mountains. There is no WI-FI here, but peace and silence. A special place can be found here: Kőkapu (Stone Gate)

There are several natural and human-made artwork worth visiting this place. The first forest railway in Hungary was built here. Originally, it carried timber and only since 1956 has it been operating with passenger carriages. From Pálháza you can reach Kőkapu by train or car.

The peace and picturesque beauty of this place made Kőkapu and its neighbourhood famous quickly. Even Horthy and Rákosi came hunting here. There used to be so many game that it was possible to hunt from the windows of the mansion, which has been redecorated and since then has been operating as an elegant hotel.

You can fish in Kőkapu or just eat out at its excellent restaurant.
