In the two-storey Porcelain Museum in Hollóháza, chronological exhibition shows the history of the porcelain production from the start up to our present day. In addition to this historical adventure, the exhibition shows the porcelain pictures painted by the Hungarian painter, graphic artist, Szász Endre. The building of the museum itself is a fascinating sight because the Ybl award winning architects, Mondok Tamás and Rákosi Ferenc designed it. It was opened in 1981, at the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the porcelain industry in Hollóháza to show the public all the handicrafts made here for over 225 years.
The “Visitors’ Creative Centre” was opened in the museum in 2003 and gives visitors the unique opportunity to try painting porcelain and creating their own work of art. They are helped with professional porcelain painters and can take their creation home.
